ROCHESTER, NY- On June 26th, 2019, more than 700 Job-Seekers walked into the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center at Monroe Community College (Brighton Campus). These motivated individuals all attended in hopes with meeting with some of our areas local employers. 70 businesses were at the job-fair, companies like Wegmans, University of Rochester, Gleason Works, Lifetime Assistance, IBERO, Rochester City School District, Monroe County & many more. These businesses come with hopes with finding the right candidates to join their staff.
“Through the strong support of our local businesses, who have meaningful career opportunities, we are able to match their needs with the talents of our jobseeker," said RochesterWorks! Executive Director Peter Pecor.
RochesterWorks! was proud to host its 4th Annual Summer Job-Fair & for the second year in a row, partnered with Senators Joe Robach & Senator Rich Funke to connect Job-Seekers and employers in the local area. The 2019 Summer Job-Fair was a major sucess with the number of people attending the event as well as the potential job fields for those individuals as well. Dale Campbell, a job-seeker, always feels confident when attending RochesterWorks! events.
