Each month the RochesterWorks! Business Services Team provides profiles of ‘Star Candidates’, with the hope that one of these candidates could be your next employee! We conduct in-depth interviews to learn more about their work experience and the value they could bring to a company. Highlights of their accomplishments and skills are summarized below.

Sales Professional
Versatile, effective Sales Professional with diverse experience in achieving sales goals across a wide variety of industries, and a proven track record of contributing to business growth, client retention, and the streamlining of processes.

Service oriented and skilled at establishing business and client relationships largely due to excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and creative problem solving. Areas of expertise include research, prospect targeting, and successfully developing and closing deals. She has a high aptitude for learning new tasks and processes, while efficiently relaying the flow of detailed and confidential materials. Her background includes both B2C (business to consumer) and B2B (business to business) sales in the residential/commercial real estate and investment industries. Her technical and administrative skills include Goldmine Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Microsoft Word and Excel, database management, preparation of business reports, project supervision, and visual presentation/marketing materials.

 

Operations Manager
Results-oriented, high-energy Operations Manager with successful leadership of sales, fabrication, and installation organizations in the home improvement industry, while delivering outstanding customer service and high quality products.

He most recently led business expansion into a new market, from research and development of the business plan, establishing retail sales and fabrication operations, to achieving gross revenue of $1,000,000 in less than 2 years. He has an extensive background in recruiting, training, mentoring, and evaluating entry level employees to departmental managers, and establishing a productive, collaborative team environment. He is proficient at analyzing work flows, implementing process improvements and innovative technologies to reduce costs, minimize turnaround time, and increase daily production. His technical skills include Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Point of Sale (POS) systems, as well as OSHA safety regulations.
