Kelly Services is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for one of our top automotive clients in Rochester, New York. This is a long term contract through Kelly Services with possibility of direct hire with our client. Apply now for immediate consideration!

Must be open to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. Core Hours:

  1. 1st: 6:48 AM – 3:18 PM
  2. 2nd: 2:48 PM – 11:48 PM
  3. 3rd: 10:18 – 7: 18 AM


  • Full direction and development of effective teams and management of work flow
  • Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
  • Meets production cost schedule and maintains quality requirements
  • Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
  • Promotes the development and maintenance of productive union relationships
  • Implements divisional and corporate policies
  • Implements safety and good housekeeping standards
  • Frequent contact with others outside the work group
  • Keeps management informed of developments as they occur
  • Maintains corporate and unit management control systems


  • Fill any staffing gaps (ex: someone calls in sick)
  • Managing any quality issues
  • Managing discipline issues
  • Troubleshooting any issues that arise while on shift to ensure their lines are running properly
  • Managing paperwork


  • Ensuring their area and area is up and running efficiently/effectively
  • Supervise a team of 20 direct reports
  • Day to day responsibilities depends on what’s happening in the facility


  • Candidates must be able to multi-task
  • Have an awareness of their role and the ability to know when to call the right people (ex: mechanic, quality supervisor, etc.)
  • People skills, candidate must be comfortable and able addressing performance issues
  • Familiarity with Union workers is preferred
  • Technical backgrounds are preferred
  • Organizational skills. Will be balancing a lot of different responsibilities and tasks
  • Shift Flexibility – need to have the ability to work any shift.


  • High School Diploma with a Military background or high level of experience is applicable
