These workshops are designed to address the specific challenges faced by the advanced job seeker in today’s labor market.  The four workshops identify the actions necessary to meet those challenges.  Each 2-hour workshop provides methods and tools that address the age barriers that may exist in today’s job market.  In the five-part series, you will identify job search strategies that are more likely to lead to interviews and interview behaviors more likely to lead to job offers.

As an active registered member of RochesterWorks! these workshops are provided at no cost to you.  You can register at RochesterWorks! for any of these workshops.

LinkedIn is a social media tool you can use to widen your network, stay better connected, and promote yourself a bit.  This workshop is an overview that will provide a better understanding of what you can and cannot do.  It will also identify the details overlooked by users.  By no means is LinkedIn a replacement for face to face networking.  It does, however, help you build and maintain connections.

 

This workshop is intended for novices and above who believe they are not yet utilizing LinkedIn to its full advantage.  In this interactive session you'll learn how to:

 

* Use the fundamental concepts of LinkedIn.
* Craft a profile that attracts attention and gets results.
* Set your account preferences and manage privacy.

This session will help you gain an awareness of what happens to you when your buttons get pushed.  You will gain tools to help empower you in your relationships and learn to communicate more effectively.
