Enhancing Interviewing Skills Leads to Job Search Success!

Linda Mrak became aware of RochesterWorks several months after she relocated to the Rochester area. After limited success finding a job, obtaining feedback in her job search became a high priority.

Linda's professionalism and enthusiasm, can serve as an example for all job seekers to follow.

When Linda first came in to RochesterWorks! she was hoping to improve her interviewing skills and gain access to perspective job postings. Linda met with Career Services Advisor Kyle McCarthy who according to Linda "did a great job explaining the services and evaluating my career needs!"

Linda and Kyle spent valuable time assessing strengths in her job search, and establishing a comfortable environment for personal growth. After her initial meeting, she signed up for the 'Advanced Interviewing Skills' workshop, which at the time seemed most significant with her upcoming job search. Upon completion, Linda said, "The Workshop was excellent! Hannah gave some great advice and was an excellent trainer."

With her newly honed interviewing skills, Linda headed off to an interview at Nazareth College. Upon completion of this interview, a second interview was scheduled and Linda was offered her ideal position as Prospect Coordinator Graduate Admissions. A very excited Linda exclaimed that "I won't be needing the services of RochesterWorks! in the near future, but if I ever find myself unemployed in the future, RochesterWorks! will definitely be the first place I go!"
