  1. Urban Action League for Youth Employment
    Expose 50 Youth ages 16-20 to in demand careers, employers and the world of work Program activities: Job readiness training, work experience, career exploration, enrichment activities and community services.
  2. Help Tech-Teens
    Expose 15 youth ages 14-15 to possible career paths in the computer/Information Technology Industry. Youth will learn; Computer troubleshooting and repair; Computer hardware and software installs; Computer Remanufacturing and Recycling; Telephone Helpdesk and Remote Diagnostic call processing; and Computer Network Maintenance and installs.
  3. ArtPeace Young Entrepreneurs
    Expose 65 youth ages 14-20 to entrepreneurship. Youth will have the opportunity to create their own business using one of the 5 arts and technology disciplines (Music, Literary Arts, Digital Arts, Dance and Visual Arts).
  4. Baden Street Summer Youth Employment Program
    Expose 60 youth ages 14-20 to in demand careers, employers and the world of work Participants in the summer Employment program will be assigned to a work experiences based upon their interests and skills. Program activities: Job readiness training, work experience, career exploration, enrichment activities and community services.
  5. Youth Leader Training & Employment Program
    Expose 25 youth ages 14-20 to the daily functions of a camp counselor. This eight week Summer Youth Leader Training & Employment Program will provide hands-on career exploration, life and academic skills development, job readiness and work experience opportunities.
  6. Summer Pathways to PAY (Partners and Assets for Youth)
    Expose 30 youth 14-15 to community service and leadership development. The program is schedule 2-6 M-F which will allow for youth in Summer School to participate. Youth will earn stipends for successful participation.
  7. Daniel & Friends Community Transformers
    Expose 32 youth ages 14-20 in helping to run mini-summer camps hosted in 5 networked faith based located throughout the Northeast city neighborhoods. The theme of this project is to reinforce a healthy lifestyle and behaviors based on a targeted study of the Biblical character of Daniel.
  8. East Rochester Summer Youth Training and Employment Program
    Expose 12 youth ages 14-20 to “How to Apply and Win a Job.” Youth will be mentored by their employer for 25 hours a week for 6 weeks. Youth will be encouraged to work in their East Rochester Community in a positive way.
  9. Summer Youth 2007 Career Ventures
    Expose 30 youth ages 14-15 to vocational training. The program focuses on Career development and academic support, intervention and skill development.
  10. Summer Law Enforcement Work Experience Program
    Expose 10 youth ages 16-20 to career opportunities in Law enforcement. Youth will work in the Rochester City Police Department and participate in the Rochester Teen Court, and more.
  11. RIT 2007 Summer Youth Development Program
    Expose 25 youth ages 14-15 to the career paths of Computer Science. Youth will build and troubleshoot computers.
  12. Green Team
    Expose 100 youth ages 16-20 to the world of work and landscaping opportunities for all those interested in working out doors.
  13. Summer Community Revitalization Corps
    Expose 25 youth ages 14-20 to Community beautification. Youth will be placed at worksite throughout the City of Rochester doing landscaping and light maintenance.

Regardless of program, all youth will receive job readiness training!
