Grant Writing Workshop

Grant Writing Workshop

Preparing to Write Grants

Our most popular workshop is an excellent way for administrators, staff, and board members and volunteers to gain a general understanding of the many elements required for successful grant writing. Equal attention is given to the needs and interests of both nonprofit organizations and grantmakers themselves.

Topics include:

  • Planning programs and budgets before writing grant applications
  • Researching and identifying grant opportunities
  • Approaching and developing relationships with grantmakers before applying
  • Preparing information and materials typically required in grant applications
  • Tracking and following-up grant applications after submission

Dates: See below for specific locations. All three workshops run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a mid-session lunch break and shorter "stretching" breaks in between.

Instructor: Nonprofit Works founder Paul Mastrodonato has helped nonprofits obtain funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies for over 25 years. Paul’s presentation style is known for being interactive, relaxed, and fun.

Cost: $150 per person (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) includes parking, lunch, and training materials and Word and Excel templates that organizations can customize for their specific needs. Pre-registration is required.
