Match Personality Type to Career Paths | JSG

July 22 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Explore how personality type can help you better understand career fit, work style, strengths, and job search direction.

Overview

About this session

This Job Strategy Group session focuses on how personality type can support career exploration and job search decision-making.

Personality type is not meant to limit your options or tell you exactly what job to choose. Instead, it can help you better understand your work style, strengths, preferences, and the types of environments where you may feel more successful.

You will explore how to:

• Identify patterns in your work style and preferences
• Connect personality traits to strengths and career interests
• Consider how personality type may affect career fit
• Use self-awareness to make more intentional job search choices
• Think about work environments that support your success

This session is designed as a career exploration tool, not a test with one right answer.

What to expect

• A brief, low-pressure networking activity at the beginning
• Discussion of personality type and career fit
• Reflection questions to help you think about your strengths
• Group discussion and Q&A
• Guidance from RochesterWorks career advisors

Who should attend

• Job seekers exploring career direction
• Career changers considering new paths
