Our Youth Career Center location serves youth ages 14-24 as a comprehensive service center. This is the headquarters for RochesterWorks youth programming.

On-Site Resource Room
Our on-site Resource Room has computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, phones, and accessible technology to use for your job search and career exploration. We also offer computer-based training tutorials on Microsoft applications and skill development. By Appointment only.
One-On-One Advising
We offer individualized assessments and career advising sessions to determine job search needs in order to connect you to the appropriate resources and outcome.
Career Exploration And Job Search Workshops
- Virtual Reality Career Exploration
Providing an innovative approach to help young adults explore different career paths by immersing them in virtual work environments that simulate real-world job scenarios. Schedule a VR Career Exploration workshop today!
- Skills development Workshops
Valuable in-person sessions that help young adults acquire various skills, such as communication, leadership, problem solving, and technical skills. These workshops aim to enhance youth’s employability, prepare for secondary education or occupational training, and encourage healthy life choices.
Job Search And Career Reference Library
- Computer & Resource Lab
We have computers, printers, copiers, fax machines and phones to use for your job search and career exploration as well as a reference library of books, videos and other useful job search and career information available.
We offer computer tutorials on Microsoft applications and skill development, TABE assessments, WorkKeys curriculum, and we are partnering with the Trenton and Pamela Jackson R-Center ATTAIN Lab to offer digital literacy, ESOL studies, HSE/GED preparation, Microsoft and Intuit certifications, and much more!

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides youth ages 14-20 with six weeks of paid work experience through work sites and programs all across Monroe County.
Young adults ages 14-20 earn a paycheck during the school year and learn about exciting career opportunities that await you!
Teens and young adults who are enrolled in grades 9-12 at either Edison Career & Technology High School or Joseph C. Wilson High School are currently eligible.
Free services for teens and young adults ages 17 to 24 in Rochester and Monroe County who are not currently enrolled in school.
